1. About Athletes Make the Best

Athletes Make the Best and the Sports + Infrastructure Business Academy — SMIBA 2026 — is owned and operated by Osric Ventures LLC. All program operations, merchandise sales, affiliate agreements, sponsorship commitments, casting productions, and participant relationships are conducted under the authority of Osric Ventures LLC. By participating in any aspect of this program you are entering into an agreement with Osric Ventures LLC.

2. Acceptance of Terms

By registering for the Athletes Make the Best Sports + Infrastructure Business Academy program, purchasing merchandise from the Athletes Make the Best store, applying for the casting call, registering as a Brand Ambassador, or sponsoring a state team, you agree to be bound by these Terms and Conditions as set forth by Osric Ventures LLC. If you do not agree to these terms please do not participate.

3. Program Eligibility

Participation as a state team member requires that you be between the ages of 13 and 24 at the time of registration. Participants under the age of 18 must have written consent from a parent or legal guardian prior to enrollment. Osric Ventures LLC reserves the right to verify eligibility at any time and to remove any participant found to be ineligible.

4. State Team Participation Requirements

All registered team members agree to the following conditions of participation:

Attendance at all virtual team huddles held every Monday and Thursday from 6:00 PM to 7:00 PM EST with camera on and on time. Failure to attend without prior notice may result in removal from the team roster. Active participation in all assigned commerce, casting, and mentorship activities throughout the Regular Season from June 1 through July 31, 2026 and the Playoffs from August 1 through August 31, 2026. Compliance with all program guidelines, community standards, and communications standards set by your state team's General Managers and Coaches. Participation in the casting recruitment process by identifying and referring current and retired athletes from your home state to the Athletes Make the Best open casting call.

5. Affiliate Program and Earnings

Upon registration each team member will receive a personal affiliate link to the Athletes Make the Best merchandise store operated by Osric Ventures LLC. Team members earn a 20% commission on all sales generated through their personal affiliate link. An additional 5% of total state team sales is pooled and distributed evenly among all active team members on a weekly basis. Brand Ambassadors who are not registered team members earn a 10% commission on all sales generated through their personal affiliate link. All commissions are subject to verification and may be withheld in cases of fraudulent activity, returns, or chargebacks. Commission payments will be processed and distributed in accordance with the payment schedule provided upon registration. Osric Ventures LLC reserves the right to modify commission rates with 30 days written notice.

6. Merchandise and Commerce Store

All purchases made through the Athletes Make the Best store operated by Osric Ventures LLC are subject to our standard return and refund policy. Items may be returned within 30 days of delivery if they are unused and in their original condition. Shipping costs for returns are the responsibility of the buyer unless the item is defective or incorrect. Osric Ventures LLC reserves the right to modify product offerings, pricing, and availability at any time without prior notice.

7. Casting Call Participation

By applying for or being nominated for the Athletes Make the Best casting call you grant Osric Ventures LLC and its production partners a non-exclusive royalty-free license to use your name, likeness, image, voice, and story for the purposes of producing, distributing, and promoting the Athletes Make the Best documentary series across all platforms and media channels. Casting selection is at the sole discretion of Osric Ventures LLC and its production team. Submission of a casting application does not guarantee selection or participation in the documentary series. Osric Ventures LLC reserves the right to edit, modify, or repurpose all submitted materials.

8. State Sponsorship

State sponsors commit to funding the creation and operation of a state team for the duration of the SMIBA 2026 competition season. Sponsorship agreements are formalized through a separate sponsorship contract issued by Osric Ventures LLC. By submitting a sponsorship inquiry through the website you agree to be contacted by an Osric Ventures LLC representative to discuss sponsorship terms. Sponsorship fees and benefits are outlined in the sponsorship agreement and are not publicly listed on this site. All sponsorship commitments are binding upon execution of the sponsorship agreement.

9. Intellectual Property

All content on this website and all program materials including but not limited to the Athletes Make the Best brand name, logo, campaign lines, merchandise designs, documentary content, and curriculum materials are the intellectual property of Osric Ventures LLC and may not be reproduced, distributed, or used without prior written permission. The phrase Athletes Make the Best and all derivative campaign lines are proprietary marks of Osric Ventures LLC.

10. Code of Conduct

All participants including team members, coaches, general managers, brand ambassadors, fans, sponsors, and casting applicants agree to conduct themselves in a manner consistent with the values of Athletes Make the Best — including respect, integrity, coachability, and professionalism. Osric Ventures LLC reserves the right to remove any participant from the program at any time for conduct that is deemed harmful, disrespectful, or inconsistent with program values, without refund or compensation.

11. Limitation of Liability

Osric Ventures LLC, its officers, directors, employees, coaches, general managers, and partners shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages arising from participation in the program, purchase of merchandise, or use of the website. Our total liability to any participant shall not exceed the amount paid by that participant to Osric Ventures LLC in the 30 days preceding the claim.

12. Governing Law

These Terms and Conditions are governed by the laws of the United States and the applicable laws of the state in which Osric Ventures LLC is registered. Any disputes arising from participation in the program or use of this website shall be resolved through binding arbitration in accordance with the rules of the American Arbitration Association.

13. Modifications

Osric Ventures LLC reserves the right to modify these Terms and Conditions at any time. Continued participation in the program following any modification constitutes acceptance of the updated terms. We will make reasonable efforts to notify participants of material changes via email or website notice.
